Strategies for growth, branding, and product development
A Midwest ag-tech company, INTENT, created a research tool for product companies and farmers to test their seeds, fertilizers and other crop sprays.
With a strong partner and client base, their application needed to be redesigned, as it had been designed and developed by the dev team and was difficult to use. It was beginning to hamper their growth. As they began to scale, they knew they needed to shift beyond their MVP experience into a solution that was professionally designed.
INTENT wanted to address key aspects of the application structure and how a user flowed through the site. They also wanted to create and implement a design system, as well as redesign key user ‘jobs to be done’ so that they were intuitive and helpful. They had several products and various user roles from farmer, to researcher, to manager that needed a cohesive experience redesign.
Using a process of iterating and collaborating through mood boards, color palettes, design styles, and then used user flows and an experience map to redesign the experience, the results was completely redesigning the app and providing the INTENT team an extendable design system.
